Children enthralled by Beethoven and Stravinsky

We thoroughly enjoyed putting on another fantastic symphony orchestra concert recently, at Hackney Empire on 21st May 2015, for 450 children from eight primary schools in Hackney and Tower Hamlets. The children were enthralled by exciting performances of Beethoven's 5th Symphony (1st & 2nd movements) and Stravinsky's Firebird (Infernal Dance, Berceuse, and Finale).It was a brilliant opportunity for children to hear this incredible music live - including pieces from the BBC's Ten Pieces initiative - and performed so brilliantly by the Apollo musicians. We can't wait for the next concerts in Kingston and Hackney on 29th June and 2nd July!
